☕ From Rebellion to Ritual:

How Coffee Came to America + A Little Culture Coffee

Long before lattes, cold brews, or THC-infused mocktails, coffee made its first appearance in America in the mid-1600s. It arrived through the port of New Amsterdam — what we now know as New York City — brought by Dutch traders. But at the time, tea still reigned supreme.

Then came the Boston Tea Party.

In a bold act of rebellion, colonists dumped British tea into the harbor — and just like that, America began shifting its loyalty from tea to coffee. That moment sparked more than political revolution; it fueled a cultural one. Coffeehouses began popping up in cities like Boston and Philadelphia, becoming hubs of discussion, debate, and community.

It’s wild to think: a small change in plans and TAXES — a disruption — can lead to something incredible.

And that brings us to our little update.

We know we’ve been teasing a big announcement. And trust us, it’s still coming. But just like that early cup of American coffee, sometimes things need a little more time to brew.

Due to some behind-the-scenes magic (and a whole lot of hard work), we’ve decided to hold off on announcing until later this week. This gives us time to make sure everything is aligned — so when we do share, it’s clear, exciting, and worth every moment of anticipation.

You’ll get a heads-up right before we drop it, so stay close and keep checking in.

Thank you for being the kind of community that understands — and sticks around when the timing shifts just a bit. Good things take time. GREAT things take community.

With love (and a strong cup of coffee),

– The Culture Coffee Team
